Chapter 4 - Financial Literacy
Everything in this world comes down to value.
Not how much something is worth, but rather how much value something can bring, or even give you. I view money as one of the things that can either bring you a lot of, or take away a lot of value from your life.
What does this mean?
Well to me, I view money as a tool. I see it as vehicle that can be used to further your goals, and progress you up the financial ladder. To me, I believe that having the right attitude to money is an essential part of growth.
The minute you start seeing money as a tool that can be used, to not only better your life but also the lives of those around you, opportunities start to open up. Just like a soldier who puts his life on the line, as an entrepreneur you put your salary on the line. You choose to use your money as a tool, and a way to bring value to the market place in the form of a product or service.
With that being said. I feel like a person’s internal view of money, is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves. Most of the time their self-image will affect the type of product, or service they bring to the marketplace, for example you may use your money to start a charity organization because you love helping others prosper, or you may sell drugs to minors because they are easy targets, and you will sacrifice your morals because you have an intense love for money. As you can see, the attitude we have towards money, affects the way we use money. We could either see it as a means to an end and do something evil with it, or you can see it as tool that can be used to improve, or even better someone’s life.
The point I am trying to make is that when you start seeing money as a way to give back to others, more and more opportunities start to open up, and it then becomes easy to use money as a tool for good.
Always remember that in order to prosper in life, you should learn right the laws upon which the blessings of wealth are given. The minute you learn those laws it becomes easy to use money as a tool to further your growth.
