Page 95: Learn to Process Issues

In the game of life and entrepreneurship, you are constantly presented with “What if…?” situations. These types of situations can either make or break you as an entrepreneur.

In my life I have experienced a multitude of these questions, and I feel like the trick to answering them is to not get intimidated by the question. A lot of the time when we are dealing with certain situations in life, our brains automatically try to reason the situation out, as being either best case or worst case scenarios.

This is just human nature, and it is one of the many challenges you will face as an entrepreneur. To truly become a great entrepreneur, you need to become great at processing issues. Whenever something goes wrong, it’s almost always because of a calculation, or processing error. But, this isn’t a bad thing. When something goes wrong it allows us to take a step back, and try come up with reasons to why that specific thing went wrong. By following this process of trial and error, it teaches us to become better processors.

The game of life and entrepreneurship becomes more fun once you understand where something is going, and why it’s going there. Once you understand why something is going where it is going, it becomes easy to make small adjustments so that things can start going where you want them to go.

With all that being said, what I have learnt is that, if you as an entrepreneur can use your processing capabilities to anticipate the challenges you will face along the way, you will be guaranteed to have an edge. Remember, as an entrepreneur you will be faced with many unknowns, and things that you have never dealt with before, and you will need to anticipate how you are going to solve them.
