Page 2: Create life of Meaning.

I recently watched Randy Pausch's Last Lecture (https://youtu.be/yVIvHKTNsqg).

Man! Where do I begin? There is only one word that I can use to describe it, inspiring. I was amazed at his genuine love for life. Cancer is the most feared word in every language, and even though he got hit with those dreadful words, he was still able to hold his head up high. Living his life to the fullest, and even cracking some jokes along the way.

While watching the video there were two things that really stood out and resonated with me. The first thing was the impressive words that Jon Snoddy passed down to Randy, "wait long enough and people will surprise and impress you". As human beings, I think it is part of our nature to quickly jump to conclusions, and get frustrated or angry with other people when they do the opposite of what we want them to do. If you feel like you do not act this way, try having children. I have noticed this in my own life with my children. As a parent you constantly feel as though your children push their bounders, and always test the upper limits of your patience. However, I can also bear witness that if you give them some time, they will always impress you with their ability to "do what you want them to do", but in their own way, and that is totally fine!

The second thing was that "Brick walls are there for a reason: they let us prove how badly we want things" Another unfortunate thing that is built into most of us, is the ability we have to look at obstacles as bad things. Like most people who go through any growth phase in their lives, I am guilty of this. It's just too easy to view our "brick walls" as bad, or unclimbable things, because then we have an excuse to throw in the towel and quit. However, if we change our perspective a bit and look at the "walls" not as obstacles, but as something that is there to prove how badly we want something, the "walls" then take up a different meaning. This is easier said than done though.

Because Randy focused on leading his life the right way, the karma took care of itself and his dreams came to him. By leading his life the right way, and climbing his brick walls, he was able to achieve some of his biggest dreams. Dreaming is one of the biggest gifts that are given to us as children, because without the ability to dream, we wouldn't come across obstacles that can help us grow and improve our lives.

One of my biggest dreams in life is to one day go to the moon, and see Earth from space because I feel like that will give me a whole new perspective on life. And with space tourism becoming more and more of a hot topic, I believe that in a few years I will be able to achieve my dream.

Wish me luck!

Good luck to everyone out there trying to achieve their dreams.
